Amazingly solid and original California carNO RUSTORIGINAL PAINT - Cardinal Red (Factory Code VV)
1962 Buick Skylark 2dr Convertible
This was built in Southern California (Factory code BC - which was the South Gate, CA factory) and spent it's entire life in the central valley of California.
Original black plates and dealership license plate surrounds
Always garaged and covered.
Original factory red paint, still has factory chalk mark in engine bay (see pic) - which also means no body filler, never repainted and all original metal. Does have chips in the paint (almost 60 years old) and a couple dents in the front fenders (see pics) I never fixed them because it's only original once and those dents are very hard to notice.
All aluminum V8 215 cu inch engine - runs great, fresh oil change and tune up. Driven to the beach, work etc, drives great
original 4bbl carb
Auto Trans - works great, shifts great
New tires - only about three weeks old
Interior in excellent condition no rips or tears in the seats or carpet.Dash is excellent condition as well.New Buick rubber floor mats
Original dash clock works off and on so needs to be removed and cleaned
Convertible top and boot cover in excellent shape, plastic rear window, it is a power top but doesn't work so now a manual top. I new motors is included but not hooked up. I never finished it because it is actually faster to put the top up and down manually. So hasn't been a priority to finish.
All glass in excellent shape, no cracks, chips or discoloring. All windows work as they should.
Manual steering and manual brakes
Chrome both inside and out is in amazing condition.
2 speed wipers work great
AM radio works great
Has original spare tire and jack
Has the one factory accessory (Code H1) back-up light
My list of things to do with the car if I keep it:New weather strippingNew trunk lining to spruce up the trunkComplete hooking up the convertible motorClean the carb and new gaskets in the carb
