1971 Buick Other

This car is being sold by the original owner who kept the car immaculately maintained and garaged. The car is in fabulous shape and is complete. With 105,286.1 original miles, the car still has its original engine and transmission.
This car was last started about 10 years ago. The estate wagon has all glass and lenses with no cracks. The dash has no cracks. The vinyl seats are in excellent condition; the headliner unblemished. All chrome exterior trim, badges, and emblems are intact and in great shape though the "Estate Wagon" badge on the front passenger side fender has a bent "N". The rear clam shell door has the factory power window that was operational as of last time the vehicle was operated. Original hubcaps are not on the car but are included..
One common issue with these cars is rust-out above the rear wheel wells. This car had preemptive body work to mitigate this issue. There are some rust spots but no bubbling of the paint. See photos. There is slight corrosion in the battery box and corrosion damaged to the engine-side back plate of the cornering light. There is no battery presently in the car.
One novel OEM feature: This car comes with a buzzer needle on the speedometer that can be set such that when the vehicle speed needle passes the buzzer needle a loud (and annoying!) sound is heard. This is significant because with about 350 horsepower, and the mass and dimensions of the car as they are, this wagon could creep to ridiculous speeds with the driver essentially unaware of the velocity. Just for comparison, this car is 42 inches LONGER than a Hummer H1 and weighs almost 3 tons. The car also has tilt steering wheel and cruise control to enhance driver comfort.
This is the consummate family touring car. It can be configured to have three rows of seats, all forward facing, while retaining decent rear storage space. It seats nine. All seats are split folding for transporting very large cargo. Presently the second row passenger side seat does not unlatch to fold down. (The mechanical latch does not retract far enough.) A chrome runner that cargo sits on when the seats are down is slightly bent. Some of the rubber stops for the seats are failed. A canvas roof cargo carrier is also included. It is original from the dealer but shows normal deterioration with age.
A 1971 Buick Chassis Service Manual (All Series) is included. This was provided by the local dealership when their thru-put on repairing cars of this era waned. There are also some early paperwork available.
