Price: - Item location: Erie, Pennsylvania, United States
Description:

1932 Buick 57S

1932 Buick four door, 57S
been sitting out of the weather for the past 30 or so years - wood is VERY dry
this was someones hot rod project back in the day...small block Chevy motor mounts, the front brakes are mid 50s Chevy (using spacers) and the rear axle is a modern 10 bolt
I have the 1950 New York State RegistrationRenewal stub, filled out by the previous owner...and that is all the paperwork that I have - the back of that paper has all the ownership transfer information, and the numbers match the cowl tag
overall this is in pretty good shape
frame is very good as far as rust - there are the usual brackets etc welded here & there, and someone atempted to box the frame in places, the welds are not terrible
front springs appear to be being held on on the back by some vise grips - the kingpins are tight from sitting & this doesn't want to steer - I DO have the original steering box & it's included with the car
the body is just sitting on the frame right now - body is not too bad - the worst rust is on the lower outer driver firewall and the driver side rear door - at some point I'm sure the wood floor was replaced - it is VERY sturdy - there is some rust in the rear lower corners, and here & there on the body - I would in no way call this a rust free car, but for around here it's in good shape
some of the interior wood is cracked & missing in places - the pillars in between the suicide doors are VERY solid - the driver front door & both passenger doors latch nice, the driver side rear door needs some adjustment
both front door windows are there, the passenger side rearmost glass is there - I did not attempt any window regulators
the radiator appears to be in good shape - no bad corrosion....some rust down low on the surround, and I do not have the grill
the hood is very nice - some dents on the top - all the vents (5 each side for a Buick) open & close great
the wheels are aluminum turbines, 15", fronts are off a 79 Z28 - the lug nuts are wrong for these wheels..tires are bad but they hold air
only other parts I have that are included are the bare dash panel and both front & rear bumpers (straight but poor chrome)
clearly this is a project, but a very good, overall solid start
local pickup in Erie, PA 16505 - this is sitting in my garage, out of the weather
I'd like a $300 Paypal deposit and the balance in cash upon pickup...no games, no BS
