The Carfax report shows a slight mileage discrepancy of a few hundred miles which looks to be a clerical error years back. With that being said, this lovely correct specimen has ALWAYS been a California car and is 99.99% rust-free and unmodified with the exception of an updated CD stereo. This 35 year-old sedan [hard to imagine] sports a great running 208 horsepower high-compression 3.5 liter inline six cylinder engine mated to the factory 4 speed automatic transmission with stopping power provided by four wheel disc brakes with ABS anti-lock. Other features include electric sunroof and windows, factory BBS alloy wheels with excellent rubber, electric leather seating, driver side airbag, cruise control, trunk-mounted tool kit and more!This BMW 535i is being sold with clean and clear California title and just passed stringent smog test!!

THE BODY AND TRIMThe exterior of this 1989 BMW is in EXCELLENT rust-free condition overall with a deep lustrous shine to the paint finish and trim with small scrape on the right front fender along with a few minor nicks and scratches on this amazingly clean original sedan. The car received an original color repaint due to fading on the top surfaces.

THE INTERIORAs is articulated here in the photos, the cockpit of this non-smoker 535i is in very nice quite original condition overall with nearly all systems and controls in excellent working order. There is some VERY slight wear on the upholstery and trim, there is a small wood piece missing on the right side of the console, trunk hinges are weak/need replacement, the door card vinyl and cardboard need refurbishment, SRS light flashes, the trip odometer resets itself upon start up but otherwise the cockpit is in very condition throughout! The AC was cold but seems to have a leak in the system that needs to be addressed.THE DRIVING EXPERIENCEThis '89 BMW starts perfectly and runs extremely well with smooth and willing power,buttery smooth shifting transmission and steering with confidence-inspiring handling and braking.
