1971 BMW 2002 - A Classic Project Car with a Story Are you looking for a classic car that has a lot of potential and a unique history? If so, you might be interested in this 1971 BMW 2002 that I have for sale. This car is not your average 2002. It is one of the six that a collector had stashed away in his yard for over a decade. I discovered them four years ago when I was looking for a 2002 on Facebook Marketplace. He was selling one of them, but he had five more to show me. I chose this one because it had the five-speed manual transmission. I also have the original rear black seats. The car had been sitting under a tree for 13 years, so it needed a lot of work. I have pictures of how it looked when I first got it, and how it looks now after some restoration. The engine runs well and the transmission shifts smoothly. The car has about 82,000 miles on the car odometer is not working, but not sure how accurate it is.
