1958 Austin Healey Sprite Bug Eye

This is obviously, by the stickers and patina, a race car since at least 1970 at Watkins Glen, and again in 1975. it was raced by The Team at Rivergate transmissions in SCCA, and then went through several owners in Ohio and then California, and it now resides in Texas and has passed CVAR tech last year and was freshened up and raced.
It has a Mini Mania engine built to race, withan aluminum flywheel and new clutch,rebuilt 4 speed,tilt forward bonnet,double rear wheel bearingsIt currently has an open diff w 4.22 gears, and comes with an extra locked diff.a Weber 40 DCOE sidedraft carb,Mintex racing pads and shoes,newly updated aluminum adjustable rear trailing arms with heim joints, SpeedwellIt has a fire suppression system,and a Accusump.light weight alternatorSeat belts are within specs, new last year.It has headers and a great exhaust system and sounds, well, racey!The passenger seat was removed for the race but we can reinstall it if you like.It starts right up and runs great!
