Description:
1958 Austin Healey Sprite Bug Eye
This is obviously, by the stickers and patina, a race car since at least 1970 at Watkins Glen, and again in 1975. it was raced by The Team at Rivergate transmissions in SCCA, and then went through several owners in Ohio and then California, and it now resides in Texas and has passed CVAR tech last year and was freshened up and raced. It has a Mini Mania engine built to race, with an aluminum flywheel and new clutch, rebuilt 4 speed, a Weber sidedraft carb, Ferodo racing pads and shoes, and newly updated adjustable rear trailing arms.It has a fire system, and a Accusump. Seat belts are within specs, new last year.It has headers and a great exhaust system and sounds, well, racey! The passenger seat was removed for the race but we car reinstall it if you like.I will be building a XKe to Vintage race.I will be posting more pictures and a video.in the next few days. The Bugeye is in Denton Tx. CVAR and other Vintage Clubs will be hosting Driver's Schools early next year. Cvar's school is:CVAR Race and Drivers SchoolFebruary 24-26, 2023Eagles Canyon Raceway, Decatur, TxThe title and log books did not come w the car when I purchased it out of California.if you know any History of the Bugeye, please contact me.Thank You,Richard Wright58 years of British carsVehicle Details:
