1964 Rambler Classic 770H
1964 AMC Other
1964 Rambler Classic 770H. Great solid and complete American Motors car with the 196 straight six, -96 3 speed manual transmission connected to Borg Warner overdrive with the 'twin stick' center console configuration. Car runs and drives, as my daily driver earlier this year, 5 miles a day to and from work for 6 months. Car is currently registered Californianon-op,I have the pink slip in my possession and in my name.
This is a very solid car,the only rust I have foundis a little area in the trunk due to weather stripping leaking. (Car is currently stored inside). Interior is complete but needs to be redone, as theoriginal bucket seats that fold all the way back. Transmission rebuilt last year, verdrive works when manually shifted, lectronic shift solenoid is not hooked up. Engine runs good, lows a little smoke when first started, ut runs cool with good oil pressure.
I have tried to describe this car as best I can, ut please ask questions if you have them, They didn't make a whole lot of these cars in 1964 so finding one complete 50 years later is a bonus.Camaros and Mustangs are cool, ut why not drive something different! Thanks!

I have new information onmy car, originally advertised as a 770H based on the fact it had the fold down buckets and twin stick shifter. I have found out that the 770H did not start as a trim package until 1965, o this is a 1964 Rambler Classic body style 6419-5, hich is a '2 door hardtop 770'.(see added pic of the body tag on drivers door).
