1974 AMC Javelin --This car has been modified into an AMX package car (front/rear spoiler, cowl induction hood). Upgraded to a 401 engine and 4 speed T-10 transmission with Hurst shifter and custom (beefed up) rear end/Axle. No Rust!
Engine (401 CI) was professionally built (See details below) has approximately 5,000 miles on it and runs very strong (lots and lots of torque). Body is an older restoration by a well known AMC restoration shop (taken down to bare metal and restored). Painted Dodge white. Paint is is in very good condition. Has aftermarket rally 500 style wheels.
Has the rare correct stick shift console and tic-tack gauge cluster. Spare gauges are also included. Included with sale is the correct (and RARE) AMX machine turned dash pieces (not installed, wood grain is currently installed). Standard OEM power steering and Disc Brakes are on front, drum brakes are on rear.
Car runs and drives good. It is NOT an original AMX package car. But it is a nice driver quality car that looks like a Javelin/AMX and gets lots of attention. . Car has been in family since new and I am second owner. Only minor issues are throw-out bearing sometimes makes some noise (when hot and clutch pushed in), and some drips from rear main seal after a drive, both are minor issues and the car starts and drives well every time. Had AC originally, but AC is compressor is not currently on car and not included so AC is not working. Gauge cluster works except for the clock.
