1974 AMC Javelin sst

Hi, I'm a licensed / bonded CA auto dealer that sells unusual items...such as ..today we have a good condition 1974 AMC Javelin SST, NO AC. 304 V8, auto trans.PS, PB. Heater bypassed.This is a theft recovery, but has a CLEAN TITLE. The damage from the theft is the steering column near the key is broken and needs to be repaired. Someone put an aftermarket key switch in it ( see photos ) to make it operable but the column needs to be repaired. Starts right up, runs ok, no smoke from exhaust, although I might be hearing a small exhaust leak in the motor area.The body is very straight, little or no rust in the typical Javelin areas. Panels are straight with exception of some trailing edge damage on the RF fender. ( see photos ). I believe this was because the crappy aftermarket wheel are too deep offset and made the tire touch the fender.The paint overall is still sort of shiny, enough where you can see that the metal is very straight.It was originally sky blue w blue interior. It's time for new paint, so you can choose your color.There is one odd thing on the body, on the roof and LH B pillar, the paint in cracked badly andI think there's cracked bondo underneath. see photos. Nothing major, and it can easily be fixed before a repaint, but take a look at the pics.Otherwise the body is in great shape, no apparent rust.Interior have been changed to black, and will need some TLC. probably new seat covers are in order, and other little things will need attention, like the interior trim pieces..Tires are very good, wheels are cheapos...The previous owner installed a steel skid plate under the motor for some reason, could be removed if need be.That's about all I know, feel free to call with questions, I'm happy to help.
