This 1979 Alfa Romeo Alfetta is a classic beauty that has been well taken care of. The owner has had it for 5 years and has only used it for weekend drives. With a clean title and 106900 miles on the odometer, this ivory (Avorio 103) car is ready for a new owner to take it on some exciting adventures. This 1979 Alfetta was brought new in Albama and appeared to have stayed in Alabama for first 35 years of its life till 2014, when if got sold out of state. Prior to being sold in 2014, the owner did extensive refurbishment of the car including engine and driverrain as well as interior/exterior updates including update paint in the original Avorio 103 color code. It went through a few short term owner before I bought it roughly 4 years ago.

What makes this car incredibly special is that it appears to be free of any rust especially in all the usual places typical of these Alfetta coupes even affecting those cars from the West coast… which leads me to believe the car must have been garaged and kept from the elements and moisture most of its life.

Another special aspect of thus Alfetta is that the previous owner had transformed it essentially into European spec Alfetta including

1. European stainless steel bumper set up shaving off at least 80 pounds

2. Euro cast iron manifold with Euro down pipe

3. Dual Webers with Euro air canister set up

Other special aspect include:

5. Beautiful BWA wheels with newish 195/65//14 tires as well as 5th BWA wheel as spare

While I have I owned it

1. Weber set up was adjusted

2. Fluid changes

3. Timing chain was adjusted

4. Left window crank was replaced

5. New 195/65/14 tires was placed

6. Fuel pump mount was adjusted

7. Replace dashboard to better condition one

Previous owner before me updated part of front suspension so it feels as it should

Presently the car

1. Starts up withou much fuss

2. Idels smoothly

3. Once warmed up, engine us strong and goes through all gears including reverse without any synchro issues. Shifting is classic Alfetta linkage with long throws and rattles a bit at high RPM

4. Driveshaft donuts is well balanced

5. Brakes are all good

6. Parking brake is good

7. All instruments work as they should

8. Radio looks period correct but never tested

9. All lights work as they should but brake light only work with third brake light which was inconspicuously added to top center of hatchback

10. Exhaust are all OEM material and therefore this Alfetta sound authentically like alfa should

11. Rear tail lights all look great with no bubbling at all in the surrounding sheet metal which makes this Alfetta very well cared for always from the elements

12. Steering & Suspension is still very.tight and precise

13 interior is overall in good shape with good dashboard and comfortable seats.

14. All glass and windshield is good without any chips or cracks

I have used it sparingly on weekends and only selling to reduce my collection..
