Mechanicals:
179,000 km from new.Starts, runs and drives excellent with tons of power and torque from the all aluminum 3.0 V6 engine.New Clutch feels great, and the transmission shifts smoothly throughout all five gears and into reverse.Power is delivered to the rear wheels via the ingenious transaxle system.The car has been slightly lowered with performance springs, and with upgraded sway bar and bushings (car is very tight) balancing the cars ride height perfectly.With its 50/50 weight distribution and performance oriented suspension system this car handles absolutely incredible.Aftermarket performance exhaust with a high-quality sporty growl under acceleration, without any annoying drone at idle or cruising speeds.Certainly an appreciable upgrade over the original exhaust.Meticulously maintained.Up to date on service with fresh fluids, filters, plugs, wires, distributor cap, belts, etc.The cooling system was recently overhauled with a brand new aluminum radiator and fan along with a new water pump, timing belt, tensioner, and serpentine belt were all just done as well with less than 5,000km since completion.Engine completely rebuilt with new liners and pistons, polished head, and Colombo performance cams, all bushings, oil pump and valves, oil cooler, performance ignition system.
Exterior:
Super straight body with all original panels.Re-paint was done in 2003 due to vandalism (car was keyed).The paint is very smooth, deep and glossy and although not brand new, it is in exceptional condition overall.No fading of the original anthracite plastic trim, thanks in large to being garaged.Door jambs, pillars, gutters, and radiator support are like new with original paint.All lights and glass are original and in excellent shape with no pitting or oxidation.Structurally the car is extremely solid with clean and straight floor pans and rocker panels.There is absolutely no aftermarket undercoating applied to the under carriage (which is often done in an attempt to hide rust and/or repairs).The engine bay is clean.Momo wheels.Cross drilled front rotors.Small dent on trunk lid (I intend to repair before selling)(see photos).
Interior:
Factory Verde equipped Recaro LS-C seats are finished in their original Black cloth with Gray cloth inserts.Door panel inserts are finished in their original Gray cloth as well.It is nearly impossible to find this interior in such incredible condition.There is no major imperfection throughout (no rips, tears, fading, stains, etc).In addition the black carpeting is all very clean.The headliner, which is finished in its original black cloth and has no major sagging issues (common problem with these cars).The rear shelf behind the rear seats is very nice as well and the dashboard, center consol, and all plastic trim is crack free and still looks new.The interior looks almost as good as the day it was put together in 1988.Has Momo steering wheel and shift knob.
Electronics:
All exterior and interior lights function very well.All gauges as well.All four power windows go up and down at normal speeds.The infamous Alfa Romeo Control (ARC) dashboard-mounted diagnostic computer is currently malfunctioning with a couple of the lights randomly blinking.It is a very common problem for these cars, and jokingly referred to as the “Christmas tree”amongst Milano owners (do to the blinking lights).Most owners just ignore the unit altogether due to its insignificance and very outdated technology.Also has Clifford Alarm System witch locks and unlocks the car as well. Car has A/C but currently it is not working.
Summary:
Although a sedan the Milano Verde performs on par with the best sports cars of its day.Super clean examples are few and far between nowadays, and anyone in the market will be hard pressed to find another as nice.At 28 years old, it is still the same beautiful high-performance sports sedan that was purchased new in 1988.Offered here is a very clean example that is sorted both mechanically and cosmetically.It needs nothing but a new owner to love and enjoy it.This is an Alfa Romeo Milano Verde you can truly be proud to own.Also comes with catalytic converter, original wheels, original cams, etc (see photos for the extra parts).
