Gorgeous Carrera Red with Tan Convertible Top and Black interior . Approximately 5800 Karman Ghia convertibles were produced in 1970 . This is a 2 owner car that was originally purchased new for a college student in Westchester, New York . Years later it was purchased from that family by the neighbor who took it to North Carolina and enjoyed it as a weekend driver while tending to it's needs and ultimately had a complete restoration over a five year period which included the mechanical repairs and upgrades as listed . A respray was completed with flared rear quarter wells and a new top installed . The driver side rear floor was replaced and the front torsion bar tube was also replaced . All suspension parts and bushings as well as shocks have been replaced with adjustable air shocks at the rear . Four wheel disc brakes were added along with a EMPI reverse lock out 4 speed short throw shifter . Dual Weber 34 mm carb set up and Dual port cylinder heads with Mallory ignition coil and header exhaust .( A new stock exhaust is included with the sale ). Engine compartment is detailed with chrome accents and valve covers . The car runs and drives excellent . All electrical components are in working order and the car has been driven and inspected in 2020. Paint is shiny and bright with a beautiful finish that has minor flaws ( some touch ups and a few ding, the hood has minor dents ) . The convertible top is excellent and High quality and a new boot is included in it's box . The rear window is glass and hinges down to put the top down . All new carpets have just been installed with sound deadening shield under lament . Alpine stereo with modern techsatelliteUSB option, Rear speakers should be added .( There is speaker wire installed ).
