Possibly the Nicest Type 2 Delivery Van on the Planet!!

Greetings to All!! imotors is quite pleased to offer possibly the nicest Volkswagen Type 2 Bay window Delivery Van Available anywhere! 1972 saw major improvements for the Type 2, including front disc brakes, AND the venerable 1700c "Pancake" engine! It was also was the Last year for the small bumpers with the step, and the lower mounted turn signals fitted to the front panel! VW lovers everywhere get weak in the knees when one like this becomes available. An original, unpatched up Van that was apparently treated like one of the family! Examples like this one are unheard of! Most have been retired from service many many moons ago due to over abuse, and the cancerous rust demon!!
This Delivery van has just been purchased from the estate of a well known car collector. He was in the process of doing an"As necessary" re-furbishment when he passed away early last year. As we just love obscure and unusual vehicles, we were lucky enough to acquire it, and finish what he lovingly started!
We had the reman engine removed to install new engine tin seals, new throttle and clutch cables, AND a new fuel tank with sender, as the old one was nasty inside due to sitting. When the engine was out, we noticed that a new clutch had been fitted, along with 2 new/rebuilt axles. tWe noticed that the heat exchangers have some minor rust damage around the edges. As the exhaust doesn't leak, and the heat exchangers are so so expensive, we decided to re-install them without the cables hooked up, to eliminate any leakage of fumes into the cabin.
We did go through the brakes and install fresh calipers on the front, and all hydraulic brake hoses. Oil and filter are fresh, and we did some minor wiring repairs, so all lights and gauges work correctly. The tires are Michelin's with great tread, however are dry-rotted, and should be replaced before long distance driving.
We purchased a new mat for the front floor, and had new firewall boards made for inside the bus, to freshen it's appearance inside. The seats are very very nice. There is a small hole in the headliner to the rear, that is hardly noticeable!
We have a clean and clear title in the dealership's name showing actual mileage!
