This 1959 VW 23 Window Microbus has gone through a very extensive ground up restoration. Meticulously restored using as much of its originality as possible. No expense spared when it comes to upgrades either. This bus is powered by a upgraded and freshly built 2110cc engine from Powerhaus in California. To show it off, you will find the engine bay is illuminated by LED lights with the flip of a switch. The 4-Speed transmission was also gone through and rebuilt by Competition Engineering so it would shift exactly as it should with zero hiccups or linkage problems.
A great deal of time was taken to make sure this bus looks as great as it runs, sounds and drives. Unlike many others, this bus sports a very straight body with great paint. The interior was completely redone with a classy vintage vibe that compliments the overall appearance quit well. To top it off and take it to the next level you will notice the all new ragtop and restored roof mounted luggage racks.
Like most collector vehicles, a little documentation certainly goes a long way. This bus was recently brought in from Germany and the sale will include the original German/Austrian title/registration book.
