1981 Triumph TR7

I am selling my 1981 Triumph TR7 (FI). I am the 3rd owner of this is very cool, rare, little car that turns heads and get a thumbs-up or a honk, almost every time I drive it! The car came standard with factory fuel injection and A/C. The previous owner told me that less than 1,500, 1981 FI TR7's were imported to the US. It is an almost rust-free car, originally from Texas. I have all the paperwork from new, including the window sticker. I have owned the car for a little over a year and invested 3K in improvements, maintenance and a few repairs. I also have many valuable spare parts which will be included with the sale. I believe the mileage listed to be accurate. The previous owner replaced the tachometer and speedometer because of issues with speedometer jumping. He kept the old speedometer with 81K miles on it for reference and installed the one currently in the car which is at approx. 12K miles. Some of the upgrades/repairs I did include, installed brand new Khumo tires, fuel and oil filter, spark plugs and wires, rebuilt the clutch, slave and master cylinder and clutch line, installed Revotec electric fan, installed new high torque starter motor, new custom steering wheel and gear shifter knob, cleaned fuel injectors and replaced seals and much more. Previous owner upgraded suspension and brakes, replaced water pump…Some of the spare parts I will include with the sale are the very rare Bosch ECU, Bosch FI relay-inj, a spare engine block which is true, high torque starter, new seat foams for both seats, back and base along with diaphragms, hooks, snap rings (etc.). brand new stereo and speakers ready to install, original working radio and speakers and also all of the original parts which I upgraded…The car is completely drivable as is and has a brand-new PA inspection good through July 2021. It sat garaged for the winter until June but had some issues when I brought it out. I had to install a new starter and repair the clutch. Other than these issue, it’s been very reliable. The seats will need to be redone. The foam on the driver’s side is in bad shape. I have all the parts except the seat covers. I wasn’t sure what seat covers to order because I cannot find the original tan velour option anywhere. Also, I said almost rust-free above in description because there are two smaller spots which I pictured and a scratch that I didn’t picture. I don’t really think these are a major concern but wanted to disclose. The paint is respray of the original color, Pharaoh gold, probably done about 10 years ago. It’s not perfect by any means but overall it presents very well. I really love this little car but I’m not in good enough physical shape to do the basic maintenance it requires, after yet another rotator cuff repair last fall. I’m also finding I have limited time to enjoy it due to various responsibilities. Please email me for any additional info. Trunk is signed by Harris Mann!
