1974 Triumph TR-6

You are bidding to own the car, there is no "buy it now" price, Please don't ask!NO RESERVE!
This is a "survivor" TR6! Still wearing it's original paint, very solid, no accidents! The car has been in Texas it's whole life. The car was parked under a car port since 1990 under a cover. It still has 3 of the 4 original "red line" tires! The car has the very desirable option of the 5 SPEED overdrive transmission, and the optional luggage rack. The odometer shows 49,632 miles, I would assume it is original miles, regardless, it's got to be low miles for how long it was parked!
The car has had lots of work to bring it back to life, All the coolant hoses have been replaced, radiator serviced, new fuel pump and hoses, new starter and battery, new coil, valve cover gasket, carbs resealed, new soft brake lines, wheel cylinders, brake master cylinder, clutch master and slave cylinders. In addition to the mechanicals, a new windshield base gasket, new windshield, and new windshield seal were installed, so was a new dash top pad, and a new convertible top.
Car is as "rust free" of a non restored British car That I have seen.! Trunk pan is in awesome shape, again, original paint, never hit. Frame is super solid, all the bumper brackets are still there, and look good, just surface rust, no rot! Being in covered storage for 3 decades really saved the car from major damage! Also have the tonneau cover and top boot. The car starts, runs, drives! It fires right up and sounds awesome! good oil pressure and idles well! Brakes are firm and clutch works. Since the tags expired in 1990, and my size 16 shoes don't fit on the pedals, it has not been driven very far or fast !The car is in nice shape for its age, but is not perfect, it has minor dents, scratches, thin paint, and a little rust here and there etc. Interior is consistent with an old car. It could use some work, drivers seat has a split in it. Carpet needs replaced, seats could use new stuffing etc. new sliders are included. This is a 40+ year old British sports car, not a new Toyota! awesome survivor, or great start for a restoration. Being original paint, you can see exactly what you are getting! Expect that it may need fine tuning/adjustments etc. so, no, I would not drive it from Texas to California today! You are bidding to OWN the car, not the right of first refusal, do not bid if you are not going to follow through with the sale. $500 deposit is due at the end of the auction and is not refundable. You are welcome to ask questions or set up a time to come see the car and I will do my best to accommodate you. check with your bank and significant other before bidding Thanks for looking!
