Description:

1980 Triumph TR8

Selling my 1980 TR8. True survivor car. Owned for 30 years. Member of the TR8/TWOA since purchase. 38k original miles. I've always stored it in a climate controlled garage and never drove it in rain or winter months. Absolutely no rust ever. Runs and drives great. Engine and transmission have never been out of the car or apart although they do leave a drip on the floor. Always maintained. Has always had Castrol high zinc oil. Engine has never run hot, never gets above half on the gauge and normally runs just above 1/4. All emission equipment is intact. Crane XR ignition and Falcon stainless exhaust. Original alternator. Within the last year- radiator recored due to small leak and ALL coolant hoses replaced, ALL fluids throughout the car replaced, new ball joint and tie rod seals, new strut gaitors, new Australian carpet set, new sunvisors from the original reproduction run. The original AC doesn't work but I never worried about it since the top has only been up about 4 times in 30 years. Car still has the original top but the windows are hard and cloudy. Although the tires still roll smooth and quiet, they are old and should be replaced. This is a beautiful, highly original, low mile car. Very nice original paint with no crazing. Interior is all original except the carpet. Original wheels in perfect condition are also available.

I have enjoyed owning and driving this car for 30 years, and swore I'd never sell, but retirement has changed my priorities. I realize there are other TR8's for sale for less money but finding an almost all original car with original paint in this condition is extremely difficult. No disappointments. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks for looking.
