Description:

1988 Subaru XT GL

1988 Subaru XT GL
The 1.8 L 4 Cyl engine starts right up and runs perfectly and does not burn oil.
The 5 Speed manual transmission is smooth and has no play in the shifter.
The 38 year old interior is very good and has genuine Lambs Wool seat covers were purchased and installed when the car was new! The back seat has a new seat cover to protect it.
only 114900 actual miles!
This little Subaru XT has been very well taken care of since new. Even has the original Subaru tool kit!
The car was purchased at Twin Falls Subaru and has all original documentation, including Owners Manual, 1988 Subaru sales folder, Subaru sales and service.
The young lady who purchased this car new referred to it this as "Her Baby" and treated it as such and always had work done when needed by either Subaru or a competent local mechanic.
The car has been involved in a small fender bender many years ago on the back left quarter panel (see Pictures) and is showing signs of shrinking repair. Most recent repair was to replace water pump.
The XT has very little rust likely because Idaho is a dry climate and also because it was undercoated when new.
The only issue that I am aware of is...the ignition switch does not return to run position after start, has to be turned back manually. The 12 volt battery goes flat in a couple of days I suspect the ignition switch. The passenger window switch sticks and has to be manually put back to the stop position.Includes full set of 1988 Subaru XT Factory Shop manuals.Click on picture to see walk around video................................Video will open in a new window
