Description:

1969 Pontiac Firebird

I picked up this Carolina born and raised 1969 Firebird approximately 10 years ago to drive and restore. I ended up driving it weekly until 5 years ago when I put it in storage and left it. 10 years previous to my ownership the car had undergone a on frame restoration by the previous owner. I have decided not to restore the car now and to find it a new home. Since taking it out of storage I have replaced the master cylinder, Rear wheel cylinders and battery. The car starts and runs great as always but will need the Holley carb cleaned or rebuilt, fluids changed and possibly valve cover gaskets and trans pan gasket replaced. Tires were replaced prior to storage but are most likely flat spotted now.ENGINE, Professionally built, balanced 455, .030 over Keith Black pistons, 6X heads, hydraulic cam with nice sound, Edlebrock aluminum intake, Holley carb, headers, Flowmasters..engine is very strong and gave great driveability and never any problems.TRANSMISSION. Professionally built by COOKS in S.C.BODY, body looks solid from what I can tell but I am by no means an expert. This is exactly how I received the car. I encourage you to come take a look if you have any doubts. The paint still looks ok and cleans up good although it has scratches, dings, etc from normal use and storage. The floors look very solid as well as the frame rails, trunk pan and possibly the tail panel have been replaced at some point. I have not seen any rusted areas on the car. Car has a manual top and top is in good condition. Factory Pontiac hood tach in working condition. Disk brakes up front, 10 bolt rear end ( gear ratio unknown) non a/c car, manual brakes. Power steering. Rear spoiler and front fender louvers. I have the 2 rear pieces of stainless trim for the rear quarters near the trunk. Upper windshield trim is missing.INTERIOR, factory console with clock, B&M aftermarket shifter ( original shifter included) radio area in dash has been cut out for a den mounted radio, drivers seat cushion worn, other seats look good, carpet is worn, door panels, dash pad are still nice. Car needs door rubbers, window felts, door glass adjusted, drivers kick panel.I am selling the car as needing restoration!! However with minimal work it can be made roadworthy again. I encourage you to come take a look at the car prior to bidding. I have honestly tried to represent the car as best as I can. You are welcome and encouraged to message me with questions and I will gladly give you my number to call me. I require a 2000.00 deposit due at auction end with remainder due in cash upon pick up. Contact me if you need more than 7 days to pick up prior to bidding.
