1938 Oldsmobile Other
Up for auction is this really cool looking '38 Olds Business Coupe. It is mostly original(been repainted and re-upholstered) with the original flathead 6 engine, speed manual on the floor. It puffs some smoke, ut hasn't been run much in 10-15 yrs.. I think it will quit when driven regularly again. It carries 30# oil pressure, dles smoothly and cool. It has an electric fuel pump so it starts right up! It shifts OK. The body of the car looks real nice with a few minor imperfections, owever, o signs of bondo or patches anywhere. The rubber was stripped off the running boards and re-sprayed with black undercoating. (new rubber is $418.00) The running boards are in 100% solid metal. It has goodbias ply tires and original hubcaps. The brakes have been redone and stop the car nicely. The glass is all good with no cracks. The window rubbers look good. The interior has been redone and looks nice. The dash was repainted but not a nice job. The gauges work. The headlights high & low beam, aillights andbrakelights work. The wipers don't work. The speedo works but chatters some, he e-brake works. It has nice chrome bumpers and a nice looking grill. This car has some very nice looking curves. These business coupes with no back seat are getting very hard to come by anymore, specially in this nice condition. It has a very desirable body style. This is not a show car, owever, t is what I would call a good daily driver. If it were show quality it would be $30K. I took pictures to show the car and describe it to the best of my knowledge. If you have any questions or want to discuss the car further, lease email to give phone numbers so we can discuss before the end of the auction. The car comes with mathing numbers on title with the original vin tag riveted to the frame by the drivers side next to the engine and does match the title. Bid with confidence.
