I am Representing this for a older neighbor of ours who has no internet knowledge. The history that he shared with me is that he bought this car in 1973 from a friend of his in Decorah Iowa when he was a teenager. He said it had a fresh quality paint job when he first bought it and he used it as a daily driver on our county roads around his farm until 1997. The last times he drove the car he was involved in the allamakee antique car club and used this car for driving the local tours and shows. He parked it in 97 in one of his garages at his farm (video was done at his farm) It has been stored in his barn for the last 20 years. He only pulled it out last month to sell it as he is retiring and needs the funds. The title is a clean iowa title in his name numbers matching ready for you to register and shows the documentation of when he purchased it in 1973. The paint is a 20 footer as video and pictures show. The tires are aged but do hold air fine and go down the road good. he put seat covers over the original upholstery. I asked him what issues should be done to the car, he shared with me the driver door window regulator is included with the sale but not in the door. He is missing the window crank. there is glass in the door and he manually puts it up and down as the video shows. All of the other windows go up and down the way they should with no cracks and the doors open and shut with no sag. The gauges all operate. To start the car, (watch end of video) you turn the key on, activate the starter with a little choke and it fires right up and runs great with no knocks misses or smoke. I took the car on the highway at 45 mph and it steered true, shifted all 3 gears the way it should and the brakes stop the car the way they should. The cowl vents open and shut the way they should. there is a lock with the spare tire that includes the key. The headliner is good with no mouse holes etc. the door panels look good as pictured and videoed. This is definitely a survivor that you can enjoy driving immediatelyand leave it original or take it to the next level with a fresh paint job etc. I have set the reserve below low retail book value to ensure a sale for him. As every has their own opinion on what a classic survivor should be, you can hire ebay to do a independentinspection or by appointment come out to look at it.I require a non refundable 500 dollar paypal deposit within 24 hours of auction end, if I do not get the deposit within the time frame or before you come for the truck, I will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it.I can help recommend shippers i have used in the past who have been very reasonable. If you have any questions at all, call me563 568 5111or563 568 1186! thanks
