Lotus produced the Seven from 1957 up until 1972. After the Seven went out of production, aterham purchased the rights from Lotus to reproduce the car. This particular example we have here is one of the reproductions made by Caterham. The chassis and the majority of the components exchanged hands three times, efore the car was completed. The third owner concluded the search for all the parts and went on to build the car from the ground up. During the build the owner looked to make a truly rebuilt Super 7, hey went about this by sourcing the correct Ford 1600CC Crossflow engine, hich was rebuilt back in the summer of 1987. The correct transmission was found in June of 1987 from a shop in Colorado. The correct rear end of the car was one of the components included in the sale of the chassis. This Super 7 runs and drives flawlessly, s if it had just rolled off the factory line. The paintwork on this car is in great condition with only a few, ery minor imperfections. There is a 3M-paint protection film applied to the nose, ront and rear fenders of the car. There are hundreds of pages of documentation that go along with this car. The owner was extremely thorough in the build of this car, nd every piece of documentation, ig and small has been documented. It is quite possible you will never come across another Super 7 build that is as correct and well documented as this one. This car is a once in a lifetime opportunity; don't let it fly past you.
