Lancia Fulvia Coupe 1.3S Rallye Series 2 / LHD Italian / 1972 / Collector Owned - Superb Undercarriage & Mint Condition @ $21,500.
We are truly privileged to offer to the market this highly desirable Lancia Fulvia Coupe 1.3S Rallye Series 2 (818-630). This is a 1972 model with matching numbers motor & comes complete with the original Italian log book with accompanying owner's handbook.
This stunning example has arrived direct from Treviso, a city & commune in Veneto, Northern Italy. The current owner & his stunning Fulvia have been known to us for a number of years, in fact we bought a S2 Fulvia from him 8 years ago & when he decided to sell this current cherished Fulvia we were luckily his first port of call.
This truly stunning example was registered TV 25681 from new locally in Treviso, on 15thFebruary 1972 so has never ventured far!
In 2014 the owner embarked on a professional glass out full repaint of the vehicle including the engine bay in its original period correct Lancia rosso colour. As expected the vehicle was found to be in excellent structural condition, including the foot wells which are original & still have the factory ribs showing along with the all-important boot floor. Indeed this car has the spot welds in the arches which is really rare & no obvious signs of filler.
In brief the following works were conducted to a high professional (UK) standard: Complete strip. The engine was fully checked & serviced. The two twin-choke Solex carbs were overhauled. The seats were retrimmed in the original nero vinyl, a new polished veneered dash facia fitted & new speedo & rev counter glasses. The floor mat set & full boot mat were left untouched as they were all in good condition. The headlining was professionally refinished. All lights were refurbished & the aluminium surrounds were machine polished, any perished rubber items were replaced as required, some window & side window seals, a complete brake system overhaul was conducted & a new exhaust fitted.
The bumpers & brackets were machine polished & a new wing mirror fitted. The car was fully painted in the beautiful shade of Lancia Rosso that you see today, which is very period & suits the shape of the Fulvia beautifully.
The car has stood up incredibly well indeed, a real testament to the quality of the work. The attention to detail shows in every aspect of the cars presentation including the fully detailed engine bay, boot void, along with the driving experience & has certainly paid dividends.
The boot floor presents very well today in its original form. (It had been dry stored & garage kept by its previous owners). In fact it looks as good underneath as it does on the top, as the underside was also prepared to finish the package & shows no obvious poor welding or patches. Indeed this is one of the best undercarriages on a Fulvia we have seen. There is also a spare pot of paint in the boot, should the vehicle pick up a stone chip or 2.
The owner has only used it sparingly since acquisition to attend Lancia club & family events, he has however kept the car taxed & MOT'd & only agreed to sell us the vehicle due to his advancing years.
It retains the original matching 4 cylinder 1298cc sport engine with twin solex carbs & is showing a mileage of only 5752 KM.
We have been meticulous in our further preparation prior to offering this exceptional example to the market by undertaking the following works:
Refinished the original streel wheels to a high standard & fitted a period correct new set of tyres. We conducted a full engine service including NGK plugs, engine oil & filter, air filter, coolant change along with a full tune, just to be sure!
Fitted a new Varta battery & refitted the original steering wheel, which was in the boot & had been replaced with a MOMO racing steering wheel - Not to everybody's taste!
We also fully detailed the vehicle including a 3M machine polish of the glorious paintwork & fresh UK MOT to complete along with Italian front & rear number plate holders. Fitted A period correct decal kit, fitted new indicator lenses, fitted a new grille, undertook a detailed interior deep clean & filled the fuel with Â£40 of super unleaded.
This stunning car is ready to show or just use on a daily basis. It would make you proud in either circumstance. When I used the car for a couple days to ensure there were no faults, it really impressed in all respects. The car is on the button & ready to go & show or just enjoy...
