Description:

1972 GMC Sierra 2500

Up for bid is a 1972 GMC Sierra 3/4 ton 2wd pickup. Southern truck that is in pretty nice shape. It is equipped with original 350 V8, TH-350 automatic, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning. It also has the Custom Camper option that includes heavy rear springs and front stabilizer bar. A little cold natured, but it runs and drives great. Newer belts, hoses, plugs, wires - upgraded to HEI distributor. Here's a run down of the body : This is one of the nicest cabs I've owned - real nice cab supports, inner and outer roof and cab corners. The rockers have just a little rust, but are way better than average. One spot on firewall (see pic). Doors look pretty good, but have a little rust on the very bottom sides. Front cap is nice - rust in both lower fenders, but the rest is rust-free, even radiator support. The bed looks great on the outside, but does have rust on the inside around the edges (see pics).I acquired this truck from the original family. It's mostly original except previous owner painted some interior pieces black (supposed to be parchment). Neat color that you don't see that often in a two tone - medium green. Original GMC hubcaps.Great running and driving truck. I've put about 800 miles on it, including pulling a trailer and delivering a '72 3/4 4X4 and hour away. Perfect old work truck that will haul about anything you want to with the heavy suspension. I wouldn't be afraid to drive this truck anywhere. If you need it delivered, I have a guy that is reasonable and dependable. No title - Alabama didn't require them until mid-70's. I have regristration in my name and will provide bill of sale.
