1989 Ford Ranger XLT

Long story here. This '89 Ranger has been all over with me. I have literally driven from Maryland to SC and back 60 or more times. If I needed to drive to California today, it would do it. So anyone wanting to drive it home, absolutely. So why does it look so unique? Well, first off if you want no attention, don't buy this. Because, at gas stations and home improvement stores, you will be stopped and often. What I did was graft a NOS 1961 F100 grille onto the Ranger. I started by putting 1st Gen sheet metal on the front to have the flat faced fenders. I then cut 14 inches from the grille, 7 on each side, and welded it back together. It is painted Wimbledon White, as well as the roof, the wheels and the rear and front bumpers. This modification was done about 9 years ago, so obviously it is done well and has held up. The rear bumper is a 60s/70s fullsize Ford non-step bumper. I cut 12 inches from it and installed on the Ranger. The tailgate was changed for a basic gate with Ford letters, that are also Wimbledon White. The wheels have been upgraded to 15" and have decent 205/75/15 tires on then, no plugs, no patches. The front brakes have slotted and drilled front rotors with ceramic pads and the rear has been upgraded from 9" drums to 10" drums. It stops well and the brakes are in great shape. The engine has been taken well care of . . at 202000 I rebuilt the head. At the same time, I added a new timing belt, new water pump and replaced the coil packs. It get 21-22 MPG around my house, I'm rural. And on the highway, from 23-26 MPG depending on your speed. The clutch has been replaced. The transmission is a 5 speed. It has not be a problem at all. I make sure it doesn't leak as that was the biggest culprit to these transmissions, letting them get low. Look at the interior, you can tell it was used, but cared for. It has a CD player also. The bed has a spray in epoxy bedliner. Remember, this is 28 years old. For it to look this good, you know the truck was care for. The bad . the paint is going. It is dull and faded on the hood and top of the fenders. It has a Ranger leak at times. Very typical for them to leak and the back cab light. It leaks depending on how it's parked. People like it, because if the patina with the vintage look the truck has . . you decide. It has a small dent on the right rear wheel well, where a trailer hit it. The turn signals stopped working and the AC quit, for the first time, this summer. Uggg. It is extremely reliable, certainly worth finding the AC issue and taking good care of her. I am just ready to move on to something else and am really torn . .but ready to let her go. She has been my helper for everything through the years. Certainly am looking for someone to appreciate the look I created. I have a very reasonable reserve and hope the price exceeds it, expect the bid to exceed it actually. Look at the pictures. It is not a show vehicle. It is a truck that has been used a lot, but taken care off. It blows no smoke, uses about 1/2qt of oil between changes and starts everyday, all day. I have not listed everything that has been done or replaced on this truck, but you should get the idea. Winning bidder owes $300 paid via Paypal within 24 hours. The balance can be paid in perso, in cash when it is picked up. It must be picked up within 7 days.

I just wanted to add that the truck runs perfectly straight down the road, No pulls left or right, not when braking either. The tires re worn perfectly even as well. No rattles or other noises.
