This is a fun car to drive, gets lots of attention! I will do my best to describe the condition of the vehicle. Please ask any questions before bidding, as the vehicle is sold as-is with no warranty. If you are in CA, feel free to stop by and drive it before bidding. This car has not seen much use in the last few years, but it is ready to drive and enjoy this summer!
This is a classic 1968 Ford Torino GT convertible. It has the 302 motor and automatic transmission. I believe the engine and transmission are original but have not confirmed it. You are free to have the vehicle inspected if that is critical to you. The relevant details are as follows:
- The car starts and drives in a straight line, and brakes in a straight line.- It has new floor pans and carpet. It could use a trunk pan as well.- The brake lines need to be bled, but the brakes are reliable if you pump the pedal once (it has manual brakes).- The top cloth is mostly gone. The top frame is complete and up until 6 months ago the top motor did all the work putting it up and down. Now, it needs assistance.- The body has rust in all the typical places. If you want to make this a show car you have a lot of body work ahead of you.- The console, shifter knob, and gear indicator are included. The console is usable but the top cover hinge has come off and the console is cracked around most of the mounting holes.- Wheels and tires are in good condition- It has power steering but needs new fluid lines. Therefore, the power steering is currently disconnected. New power steering fluid lines are included.- Dual exhaust with one newer muffler, newer shocks.- Clear title in CA- Odometer works, and currently reads 446, I believe it's only been "turned over" once, so actual mileage is most likely 100,446.
I will assist with shipping but will not let go of the car until funds are irrevocably in my account, so don't bother with scams. NADA value is around $10k. My reserve is less than a third of that. Thanks for looking!
