Description:

1964 Ford Galaxie 500 not XL

Ford Galaxie 500. Not XL 500 The car is in beautiful condition. It is an original Arizona rust free example with approx. 62k on the car. At some point it made its way to Illinois where I spent time racing out of Rod Baker Ford in Juliet. The vehicle was purchased by Keith Sachteban in 1989. It was then restored in the early 2000’s ( educated guess) PPG 2 state was used then the care was wet sanded and buffed. It still looks like it was painted a few years ago with a few if any blems. The care went on to win one of the biggest Michigan shows “Juliet” in 2006 and became one of three Magazine/shirt cars ( I have the stencil to go with the car) Fame didn’t stop there for the Galaxi, as it made its way onto Race Vision, and Muscle Car Magazine among others. Its racing days ended in the mid 2000’s as it made it to the World Ford Finals in its class running 11.37. The interior was turned into a correct heater delete car and lightened up since then. In addition the dash is signed by Roush.

Mr. Malesky (stenciled on the car) purchased the car and converted it to a tribute car. The lettering and “stickers” are hand painted and are a true work of art. The car also has all the stickers on the window from the speedways the car visited.

The car can be raced or driven on the street. The drivetrain is a 460 truck block, ported and polished heads with solid lifter cam. It is truly amazing to drive, hear and feel as it goes down the road. Built c6 with 4000 stahl converter. The rear is a Ford 9 inch with a spool and Mosier axles.

For sale locally so reserve right to end the auction. Sold as is. Also willing to trade for 3/4 ton or larger truck thx for looking
