1964 Ford Galaxie

1964 Galaxie 500
Ford Galaxie 500 . The car is in beautiful condition. It is an original Arizona rust free example with only approximately 60K on car. At some point it made its way to Illinois where it spent time racing out of Rod Baker Ford in Juliet. The vehicle was purchased by Keith Sachteban in 1989. It was then restored in the early 2000's (educated guess). PPG 2 stage was used, then the car was wet sanded and buffed. It still looks like it was painted a few years ago with a few if any blems. The car went on to win one of the biggest Michigan shows "Juliet" in 2006, and became one of three Magazine/shirt cars (I have the original stencil). Fame didn't stop there for the Galaxie, as it made its way onto Race Vision (have video), and Muscle Car magazine among others. Its racing days ended in the mid 2000's as it made it to the World Ford Finals. The interior was turned into a correct heater delete car and lightened up since then.
Mr. Malesky (stenciled on car) purchased it, and turned it into a Tribute race car, to honor his late brother. He was an avid Ford guy and CIA operative.....so the story goes. His code name was "Big Bird" as seen on the rear quarters. Roush signed dash. Hand stenciled, those aren't stickers, work of art.
The car can be raced or driven on the street, whatever your pleasure. The drivetrain is a 460 truck block, ported and polished heads, with solid lifter cam. Built C6, with 4000 stahl converter. The rear is a Ford 9 inch with spool and Mosier axles.
