1961 DODGE DART PHOENIX HARDTOP COUPE

For sale here we have a very rare specimen:an all original Dodge Dart Phoenix 1961, with the 318-V8 poli engine and automatic transmission. I bought the car some years ago with intentions to restore it, but never had time enough to make it happen. The engine ran great until about two years ago when the starter has gone. I took the starter out to fix it, but never did it, and it is sitting inside the car. The push buttons transmission also work great in all gears, and I usuallydrove the car around the block before the starter was gone.The gas tank has a leak, so there was a gallon inside the trunk, from where came the gas. Now the battery likely has gone, and it will need a new one.

The body does have rust spots here and there, but is very restorable.It is complete about trims and emblems, and every piece on it is in great shape. Inclusively the hubcaps set is complete, with two on the car and the other two inside the trunk. So it is a great candidate to be restored or even a donor car, with a big treasure (and expensive/rare) parts.All the glass are good and crack free.Just the parts alone should worth the double from the starting price.

The interior is all original and (even needs to be redone) is untouched!Dash cluster is fantastic !!! Even the original cloth ulphostery is there, under the seat covers (and we can see it at the back of the rear seat, where the FL sun ripped the cover).I just don’t know how it is all around, as I never took out the seat covers.

These cars are almost extinct, and is very very rare to come across one nowadays, specially in100% original/complete conditions like this one.I`m not happy to let it go, but maybe someone can bring it back to life, as it deserves.

It does haves a clear title.
