Description:

1949 Chrysler Other Woody

This 1949 Chrysler is "the most rare of rare" having been the very first car produced in 1949 of only 993 models made that year. It offers an all-new body style that was revamped in 1949 to reflect the trend toward longer, lower and wider styling. Mechanically, the 1949 Town & Country includes a 32 cubic inch straight 8 135 horsepower engine. It has Chrysler's famous Fluid Drive transmission, a blend of a manual transmission with a torque converter that makes it quite easy to drive around town. This head-turning "Woody" has been completely restored 10 years ago and has been garaged all of its life. The 95,000 miles on the odometer are original with the current owner having driven it only 5,000 miles and most of these were in holiday parades and trips to the annual Hershey Car Show where it claimed first place in its category for both of the years that it entered. The vehicle has a working radio, heat and power top. Accessories include backup lights, side mirrors and fog lights. All gauges and lights are in good working order. It also comes with lots of literature and manuals. This car has been the present owner's pride and joy and is now road-ready for its new owner! I have a complete appraisal report from a reputable and well know company. It is available If you would like to read it. Please ask any questions you have. You can call me anytime you like.
