1968 Chevrolet Chevelle 2-Door Coupe Original factory production took place at the Atlanta Georgia General MotorsAssembly Plant in November of 1967. The car was purchased in 2008 from the original owner and was found in a field sitting on blocks at the time of purchase (paid $600). Currently, he car has undergone a Pro-Street Restoration totaling more than $120,000+ with all receipts and very well documented photo album and timeline. This car comes with the following specifications: All New Body Panels and Glass. The only original part of the car that was used was the core body shell, verything else was replaced or fabricated. The paint is 5 coats of Chrome Yellow w/White SS style striping. The chassis is semi-custom frame, eaning that the front 1/3 of the original frame was used and the back 2/3 of the frame was fabricated. The front uses custom tubular A-Arms & Springs, abricated sway bar, nd factory style steering components. The rear suspension is a custom4-Link suspension system with coil-over race shocks, narrowed 35 spline 9" Ford rear housing, ark Williams gear set w/4:88 ratio, oser custom axles, nd Positive Traction differential. Engine is a Gen VI 10.2 Deck 582 Big Block Chevrolet (Modified 720R motor). This engine has been modified to accept boost levels up to 24+ PSI. Block is a GM Performance Race block & has Steel Billet splayed main caps, allies Pro-Magnum Crankshaft, liver Steel Billet Rods, E Gas Ported Nitrous Pistons, ool Steel Rings & Wrist Pins, allies CoatedBearings, omp Cams custom grind Supercharger Mechanical Roller Camshaft, eher-Morrisson Race Prepped Cylinder Heads w/Full CNC porting, ntake port matched & CNC machined, ro-Fogger 300HP Direct Port Nitrous Oxide system, ED Tuned "flow-thru"Holley HP Race Series 1150 CFM carburetor, ll MSD ignition controls, .25" Ceramic Coated & Fully Tuned exhaust headers. Far too many extras to list. The engine also has a set of "Fully Custom" Vortech YSI-7 RACE trim superchargers capable of producing more than 24+ PSI per charger. The setup, ounting plates, nduction tubes, eed tubes, iling system, rive system, nd top hat are all custom handmade pieces for this car. This setup is currently using twin Vortech Race Series blow-off valves & is producing 16 PSI boost @6250 RPM. The engine is controlled by MSD Ignition timing & boost controllers to ensure optimal timing vs. boost. The car has made 7 chassis dyno runs, roducing 1320 RWHP on 16 PSI of boost & Zero Nitrous. The engine is capable of sustaining a higher amount of Boost to producean estiamted1750 Crankshaft Horsepower. The driveline is aJW Transmission BilletRace Series Turbo 400, anual Valve Body, rans-Brake, amp; a 3700 RPM JW stall converter. The driveshaft is an all aluminum 5" custom shaft with 4340 billet yokes. The rear End is a 35 spline 9" Ford rear housing, ark Williams gear set w/4:88 ratio, oser custom axles, nd Positive Traction differential. The fuel system uses twin Magna Flow Pro-Series fuel pumps, anister filters, agna Flow regulators, 0 gallon baffled fuel tank, amp; all air-craft quality AN Fittings from front to rear. The car has a custom 10-point roll cage, impson 5-point cam-lock harnesses, arelli Seats, CI shifter, amp; Custom hand built dash/gauge assembly. However, he car utilizes the factory dash pad, illar posts, oor panels, ead liner, irrors, amp; many other factory parts to keep the feel of the original 68 Chevelle and are all brand new. This car is onlytaken to "2" car shows per year and has won an average of 4 awards per show. The car is climate control garage kept, ever been driven over2 miles at one time(extended chassis dyno time not counted), as never been wet (not even washed.....ever!!) and is routinely started with a warm up period. Fuel andEngine Oil is maintained every 4-5 months to keep everything fresh. This car is aPro Street car and could easily become a driver with the addition ofan intercooler system to cool the superchargers and streetapproved tires.All lights and electrical work and with the right set of tires know one would know what was under the hood of this amazing car. The interior is all high end custom, he under carriage power coated or painted depending on the item, ut is clean enough to eat off of. Again, oo many things to list on this car.
