Description:

1953 Chevrolet Other Pickups

Up for auction at NO RESERVE is this true survivor 1953 Chevy 3100 truck.Believed to be 67812 original miles. Recently acquired from a gentleman who owned it for 20 years. It was tagged up to Dec. Of 2017 and was driven and used. He assured me the miles were correct but I will let you be the judge. The old inspection sticker shows it had 64270 miles in 2000. That’s only 3542 miles in the last 18 years.
When I acquired it, the truck hadn’t been started for a couple years. I rebuilt the carb, cleaned the fuel lines, installed new plugs, plug wires, coil, battery cables (it still had the original battery cables) and fuel filter. I also installed a new rubber floor mat and rear view mirror. It is missing the batter cover, but these are readily available.
The engine starts easy, runs smooth, doesn’t smoke, shifts smoothly and stops on a dime. Everything works as it should. The wiring is all original and never molested like most trucks this old. Everything electrical works including ALL lights, wipers, heate, horn, dash lights and all gauges, including speedometer work as they should.
The original owners manual was still in the glove compartment. All glass is good except for the wing windows that have some bubbling around the edges. The only rust I found was in the drivers side cab corner (minor pin hole damage) and the center floor panel has some pin holes. The truck has great ‘patina’! The wood in the bed is in very good shape and the tires show very little wear. It has been repainted, but it appears to be the original color. It’s also equipped with a Fulton sun visor, hood ornament, bumper guard s and drivers sun visor.
Please contact me with any questions about the truck and I will do my best to answer. I encourage all bidders to inspect the truck in person. I am selling the truck as is where is. I have only driven the truck around my neighbor hood because I didn’t insure it.It is 65 years old, so be aware that things wear out. I will accept cash in person or a cashiers check within 3 business days after sell. Good luck and happy bidding!
