1966 Chevrolet Chevelle

1966 Chevrolet Chevelle

ALL ORIGINAL 1966 Chevrolet Malibu Chevelle - 283 V-8, Unknown Mileage, SOLID, CLEAN! NO RUST CAR!!

If you've made it this far you're possibly interested for a couple reasons.

1) This could be a great driver until you've saved up for a restoration.

2) Because the car has zero rust damage except for maybe a bottle cap size below the rear window that really doesn't match up with Rust damage because ALL 66" Chevelles that are original and have spent more then a day in the rain have this issue.

The reason I bought this car was to one day restore and maybe take advantage of the Chevelle market when these things are fully restored,. Now, I'm passing that off to the next guy since I couldn't find the time. I don't need to sell as I'm not under the gun with pressure for bills, a complaining wife, but I am selling because I could use the cash for another restoration and use the room for the rest of the shop.

Now, getting back to the main concern most have when looking at these is RUST. When I bought the car it had a small quarter sized piece of rust damage below the rear window on both sides. That said, if you know Chevelles you know that almost everyone of these have this issue unless restored and fixed. It's a manufacturing error on Chevrolet's issue because that part of the body has a concave area that moisture holds in that spot and so begins rust.

I'm not talking rocker panel damage, wheel well damage, or roof and or Trunk damage cause they couldn't be more solid. ZERO RUST in the trunk and almost looks like the day it came out of the factory. As far as I know, this car has never been touched when it comes to metal work. It may have had a paint job in the last 52 years but not by me. I have had the car in an enclosed shop with a line up of many cars I've purchased over the last 10 years and this one's on the list to sell only because the shops running out of space and I literally have 4 other projects in front of this and I'm already working on 4 now. So....getting back to the car. It's a very very straight forward sell. It's all original with no metal work needed, a great restoration type car that runs and starts right up and if you're that guy that wants to drive before breaking it down for restoration this would be a great candidate for that.

It does have a small block 283 with stock tranny as far as I know. Super clean interior with 2 missing headliner pieces that go along the rear window column. I think they're $19.00 a piece give or take a couple bucks. Aside from that, maybe a little elbow grease and this thing is a damn clean car for being all original and 52 years old.

I've included a photo of the paint damage on the front passenger side quarter panel, and there's another quarter sized paint damage on the rear panel that runs along the rear window. NO DENTS, NO RUST, & RUNS AND STARTS RIGHT UP.

IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A PERFECT CAR THIS ISN'T IT. I EXPLAINED VERY CLEARLY TO OTHER BUYERS WHO'VE SHOWn UP WITH LESS $$ THAN I'M ASKING AND THEN B*TCH AND COMPLAIN THE CAR'S NOT BRAND NEW OFF THE SHOW ROOM FLOOR. SO.... I"M TRYING TO BE VERY CLEAR. IT'S NOT A BRAND NEW CAR. AND if it was I certainly wouldn't be selling for the same price I paid 5 years ago.
