1967 Chevrolet Nova

Up for auction is a 1967 Chevy Nova Super Sport tribute. Lots of time and money has been spent making making this car reliable fast and fun to drive. The car has air conditioning and handles like a sports car. The entire drive train and suspension have less than 4000 miles on it since nearly every part has been replaced and or rebuilt. Here are some of the upgrades. Engine: Engine is a professionally built Chevy 383 stroker that is built from a high nickel "010" 4 bolt main Chevrolet block. The bottom end consists of a Scat forged crankshaft Scat H beam connecting rods Mahle coated pistons Melling oil pump. Engine is blueprinted balanced and assembled with ARP bolts. The top end consists of AFR 195 eliminator aluminum cylinder heads Comp Cams Extreme Energy 288 hydraulic roller cam and lifters Comp Cams double roller chain Comp Cams 1.5 roller rockers Manley push rods Holley 110 GPH mechanical fuel pump Edelbrock RPM intake Quickfuel Q850 double pumper carb with mechanical secondaries with and wood spacer GM performance HEI distributor with MSD street fire wires 1-5/8" ceramic coated headers. 2-1/2" dual exhaust with stainless steel magna flow mufflers. Stef's 6 quart oil pan high torque starter Wieand aluminum water pump. Compression ratio is 10.25:1. I have all receipts and engine tolerances that were provided by the engine builder. Engine was built based on AFR's dyno proven builds and should be making over 500 hp per their dyno sheets using the same combo. Engine always runs cool and makes tons of power and sounds awesome! Transmission Transmission is a professionally built Muncie M20 4 speed manual with Hurst Competition Plus shifter. Flywheel is a McLeod SFI billet steel 153 tooth flywheel with ARP bolts. Clutch is a RAM Powergrip HD sintered iron diaphragm unit rated to 650 horsepower. Rear End: Rear End is the original 10 bolt that has been upgraded with an Eaton Posi unit Richmond 3:55 ring and pinion set Moser Street Axles T/A aluminum girdle cover Competition Engineering Traction bars Suspension: Front suspension has been outfitted with Church Boys Racing tubular lower control arms manual rack and pinion steering 1-1/4" Sway bar completely rebuilt upper control arms with Moog parts New Coil Springs Monroe Gas shocks. Interior: Interior is correct 1967 Super Sport in beautiful condition with new carpet front seat cushions. There is also a set of Auto Gauge gauges and tachometer. Exterior: Paint body work and trim are driver quality with the usual chips and dings that come with driving the car often. There is a small "quarter size" ding on the hood and one on the passenger door. There is some bubbling on the lower front of the passenger side quarter panel and some bubbling under the back window that will eventually need attention. There are numerous chips that have been touched up over the years. Paint has an excellent shine. The car looks great from just a few feet away and has won trophies in many shows. Other features include: Aluminum radiator with polished stainless catch can stainless steel flex fan with factory style shroud Ice cold Vintage Air 134a air conditioning and heat system 3/8" fuel sender and Ni Copp fuel line with billet aluminum fuel filter. Retrosound stereo with Aux jacks for phone or MP3 and Flash Drive connection in the glove box JBL 6x9 speakers in the rear and Pioneer 6" round speakers built into the front kick panels Ididit tilt steering column. GM 14" rally wheels with BF Goodrich radial t/a tires all around in excellent condition. Front rims have been custom offset to avoid any rubbing due to the disc brake conversion Brand new windshield with Steele Rubber gasket This car had Ziebart undercoating applied in 1967 which has probably been the main reason that this car has it original body panels and has remained basically rust free. Everything in this car works as it should. Odometer reads 89000 miles. I have have no idea if this is the true milaege or not. I only had the car on the race track one time to see what it would do with the new drivetrain. On a soft pass leaving at idle and an early shut down at around 1000 feet It ran a 12.10 @ 117 mph. The car should run mid to low 11's if someone was willing to drive it harder than I was. This is a fast reliable street car that handles great and could be driven anywhere. This car turns heads everywhere it goes. It wins lots of trophies at the local cruise nights and even won best muscle car at Metallica's Orion festival and was presented a trophy by James Hetfield.
