1960 Cadillac Hearse. Vin: 60Z016810. Odometer: 56,540. Eureka Manufacture Number: 60-112. Most of the miles were driven at 25 MPH or less! This is a great project for someone wanting a good classic vehicle. It is operable now. The engine and transmission both work. The door panels need upholstered. The front bench seat has already been freshly upholstered. The inside of the coffin compartment looks good with the original casket rollers in place. It could use new curtains. The body is straight but has a couple creases on the front quarter panel.The front floor needs a new panel as the heater leaked and rusted portions of it. A new exhaust would be an easy first project. The curb side of the vehicle needs attention as it was exposed to the Western sun for a few years as well as road salt from the northern states prior to my getting it. You can drive it but it is a project car. The tires are good and I have reattached the chrome "eye brows" over the front headlight fairings. All the glass is good except the driver side door. Though it had set under a carport for several years, I changed out the battery and it started even with old gas in the tank. I was able to drive it onto the trailer to bring it home. I love this hearse but have too many other projects to give it the care it deserves. I have had it stored in my hangar for 5 years and drive it once in a while. I keep the registration and insurance valid and up to date. It is time for me to let someone else enjoy this classic car.
