Barn Find! 1971 AMC AMX, riginal 401, Speed, riginal California car, till has its blue plates, nd Dealership frame from when purchased new. Last Ran and registered in the last 80's, t was parked due to engine failure that wiped out the block, o it is currently less engine, lthough I do have some of the original engine parts. (timing cover, istributor, istons, nd rods, il pan, alve covers, tc) Original color was "Burnish Brown" which I'm told is the rarest color for 71 AMX's. Speaking of rare, f you don't already know, here was only 745 built with the 401, nd probably less than half were 4 speeds! Overall, ar is pretty solid, as rust behind the rear wheels on the lower quarters, nd a bit of surface rust in the trunk. Interior is all original, nd decent aside from a few tears in the front seats. Has original shifter, ally wheels, teering wheel etc. Hood was replaced in the 70s with a custom tear drop scoop, ront grille is missing the mesh cover. Sold as-is. Both valve covers are there, nd the original engine tag is in place, t reads "402Z16" which translates to 401 with a build date of Feb 16 1971
