A ‘49 CJ3A original. All new appropriate 6V wiring, converted to Alternator, new distributor and battery, floors and sub structure rebuilt, runs and drives, still needs work to be completed. My three year old son named her “Stinky”. He named our 46 2A “JJ” for James’ Jeep…he’s James. One of the few three year olds with multiple Willy’s in the garage. Raising him up right! Plus he’ll have the coolest rides in high school.
Tires are original and cracked. Hold air just fine and do well on the trail. Floors are now fiberglass. Tool box was removed as it was pure rot. Have a Haliburton Zero case under seat to serve the purpose of the tool box. And it’s water Proof. Frame is solid. Can reapply the wax oil if you want me to at purchase. Rear tub pretty solid. Hood and fenders are so so. Have two nice fenders for it I can include. I bought a good hood too but have yet to pick it up. If this sale takes a while I may have it by then. The hood on it is more than useable. New poly gas tank! I spent lots of hours and money to rewire and get running properly. It was done right. If you have ever seen an original condition Willy’s, then you can imagine the nightmare of broken and disintegrating wires everywhere!! Original foot starter in place. Switched to an alternator which works great vs the generator PITA. Starts and idles great. Good compression on all cylinders. Used dwell meter and vacuum to get it timed just right and the carb dialed in. The clutch return is a little weak and I think a stronger spring would help. I have a new clutch that I didn’t install as I don’t think it was at that point yet. I will include the parts. The 4 wd works great high and low. Tranny and transfer cleaned out and mineral gear oil put in. Shifts fine as does the transfer case. I have a steel hardtop for it with all three doors (drivers, passengers, and hatch back. Fairings included) that came when I bought it. A true junk is selling for around 5k so I feel the price is fair with all the work done to it. Ask questions and we can talk price if it means it goes to the right home. Also has clear MA title in my name. Spent a bunch of money and time getting that as well!
