The Good…

This Jeep has been stored inside a shop since '81 due to the owner having sudden health issues. Prior to that it was just used as a commuter all its life, not farm abused like many from this area. We have used it to move trailers around our property for the last couple years.

99% rust free! Tub is solid, minor rust in a couple spots. See pics.

Doors and top(bikini top) frame included. Top appears to be for a CJ2A, not modified from a different model that I can see.
Engine supposedly only has 300 miles, it made one trip to New Mexico then got parked. I can’t remember if he said it was rebuilt or long block, there are no serial numbers on it anywhere. Runs very smooth. No smoke or odd noises. Great oil pressure.
Clutch grabs smoothly. Transmission is quiet and shifts great. All gears work.
4x4 works in both ranges. Warn hubs still lock and grab like they should.
Steering is fairly tight and drives straight for a Jeep.
Gauges and lights work minus the fuel gauge.
Glass is in great shape.
Clear Texas title from the 70’s. We never ran this on public roads so it never got registered.
The Bad…
Brakes are very weak. Somebody tried to rig them to work before we bought it a few years ago but failed. Looks like it has the wrong master cylinder.
Tires hold air and have decent tread. They are from the late 60’s though. We were told one tire is the factory spare from ‘48.
Wiring is original and falling apart.
Winch mount is welded to the frame. Pto is removed but is included.

Could use paint. Was originally maroon before being painted white, blue, and black.

Radiator needs to be cleaned out. Cooling system gets heat soaked in 95* weather.

Minor damage to left rear.
No numbers stamped on engine.
