Rust free patina truck with all characteristics of the original Willys Jeep

1954 Willys 1/2 Ton Pickup

Authentic original pickup with zero rust and original panels including tailgate. The small side steps were missing but replaced with shields made of 5/16 steel. Body is incredible and box floor shows minimal wear. Some light battle scars but overall minimal for the age. Floorboards and seat storage is mint, no rus, no patches, only modification is the shifter rod hole exit. Front grill is dent and crack free, front valance never drilled for lights or plow, rear tailgate shows original decals, chain hooks and dent free upper edge of tailgate. Fenders show minimal repair from cracks at angle bends, left original.Interior is original recovered bench seat with good springs, glass and window guides function great, new fuzz trim strips keep windows from rattling, new cut melomine door panels painted and stripped, wing windows open, front glass is good, drivers door glass has one crack in lower corner but not driver impaired so I left it with character of truck, doors open and close even the lock works.Dash sports original radio and tested 6 volt it works,no glovebox lining, blinkers were added and function well. Additional set of gauges with active water/oil/volt readings. Speedo needs a new cable and correct gear for the added transmission. Fuel gauge sending unit is new and wired but will need a resistor to be accurate since 12v conversion.Heater box fan functions as does the upper fan for cooling. Dome light works, exterior cab light needs new socket. Vehicle is wired for 12 volt operation with 6 volt drop on dash gauges which are disconnected since new ones are added. 1969 FORD FAIRLANE Engine 302 ( low miles non rebuild) two barrel carb with a automatic FMX transmission which was fully resealed and mounted correctly. Engine regaskete, new oil pump, water pump, ignition tune and new correct fitted aluminum radiator, dual exhaust with a cutout for the ?louder truck sound?. Still manual point ignition . Cools with regular fan and added a.electric fan mated to toggle switch. A one wire alternator charges new 12v battery with cutoff switch. All new electrical wires power the lights, turn signals and ignition. Some old wires remain on gauges but most are replaced. Complete rework on all brake components, drums turned, new shoes were arcked and fitted, new lines and master cylinder installed. Ebrake cable and brake cylinders are new and adjusted perfectly, axles are original Timken/Dana with fluid changes. Special note- new driveshaft was made professionally $650, to mate the automatic transmission to the rear Timken axle, its perfect with zero lash or wobble. Front driveshaft is included but divorced from the transfer case, transfer case was not placed under vehicle during conversion. It can be added with brackets and driveshaft, clutch pedal still intact and floor patch cover for 4WD is present. This was done to operate at todays speeds up to 58 mph since the gear reduction was eliminated. The appearance is still all 4WD but this is functioning as 2WD. Correct tire tread but larger and taller than stock, the height allows for higher speeds on highway, tires are mounted to original wheels and new shocks help tame the ride.
New fuel system lines throughout and correct poly fuel tank with inline fuel filter. Details include authentic jumper cables on side mount, hay rake, whisk broom and pocket screwdriver.
