1948 Willys CJ-2A Brown 4WD Manual
1948 Willys CJ-2A
Vehicle DetailsSelling my 1948 Willys CJ2a Jeep. This thing is awesome. Bought it as a quarantine project back in May 2020 and did a ton to it. Repainted, rebuilt transmission, new radiator, valves adjusted, new gas tank, wheels, tires, WW2 seats, the list goes on.
I regularly drive it up to Solana Beach, Rancho Santa Fe Point Loma, Downtown SD, Poway, etc. It doesn't get hot, runs amazing, actually rides extremely well. It doesn’t go on the freeway but you could add an overdrive unit if you wanted to. They’re still in production.
The seat covers are made in AZ by another old Jeep enthusiast, the transmission rebuild kit came from Pennsylvania. I use US made parts when they’re available and all the stuff is typically from Walcks 4x4.
I firmly believe this is the best flat fender for sale right now. I've seen a lot both in person and online and while there are some that have mirror like paint, they've got a V6, or they hardly get driven. I've come across too many that look great, have all the fun period gadgets tacked on, but vapor lock at a light or don't start. I daily this thing for a lot of the year. I fire it right up in the morning and drive it all day, never skipping a beat. If you want a jeep to put in the garage there are plenty for cheaper, if you want one that you could drive to LA and back without a hiccup this is the one for you.
