1941 Willys PRO STREET, 502 BIG BLOCK, HOT ROD

Pro Street 1941 Willy’s Coupe (Outlaw body & chassis) powered by a GM Performance crate motor 502 c.i. / 502 H.P. Big Block Chevrolet. The Big Block is managed by a Turbo 400 automatic transmission with a 2500 stall converter and a 9” Ford differential with 31 spline axles and 3.70:1 posi-traction gears.

The car was completed in 2002 and has only had 7100 miles clocked on the odometer which were accumulated by attending local cruise nights and car shows. It is a ‘blast’ to drive, draws attention wherever it goes, and is a multiple show winner.

Owner has too many toys and needs to ‘thin out’ his collection. Receipts and documentation accompany the car.

Body & Paint:

Outlaw Performance fiberglass body and interior wood kit with easily detachable rear fenders to change out the tires.

Color is a PPG ‘Viper Red’ in a 2-stage urethane. Please note there are a few chips and scratches (see photos). Overall condition of paint on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being perfect, I would say is a 6+. Body is straight and paint shows some ‘orange peel’.

Doors open from the inside w/emergency cable under passenger side fender.

GM High Performance 502 c.i. Crate engine

4-Bolt main block w/ 9.6:1 compression ratio

Hydraulic roller cam, Lift of .527” intake, .544” exhaust. Duration 224 intake, 234 exhaust @.050”

Aluminum oval port performance heads w/ SS 2.25” intake & 1.88” exhaust valves.

Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake manifold

HEI ignition

Ceramic coated headers and exhaust system.

Electric fan w/large capacity alum. radiator.

Holley 850 double pumper carburetor

Stainless steel 17 gallon fuel cell w/braided fuel lines

Turbo 400 automatic transmission which was rebuilt and blueprinted.

Ladder bar rear suspension w/ coil over shocks.

American Torque Thrust wheels: Front 17” x 7”, Rear 17” x 12” rear.

Radial tires are 215 x 45R x 17 B.F. Goodrich (front) & 345 x 55R x 17 B.F. Goodrich rear.

Interior:

Cloth 6-way power seats w/ seatbelts and matching door panels.
