1941 Willys Slat Grill

I am a very inexperienced EBay seller so if I have done something wrong it was not my intent. The information below is accurate.

After a very long search I bought this little gem many years ago with intent of driving it through Normandy in 2019 for the 75th anniversary of DDay.The restoration of my high school car is taking far too long due to my passion for flying airplanes, my age and OCD disorder (LOL) so I have decided to part with my beloved Slatty.I have spent many years collecting various parts and pieces to restore this sweetheart like the day it rolled off the assembly line. You all know how difficult it is to find a Slat grill in this condition, she came from the desert and when looking at it it’s obvious. It comes with 3 engines (2 MB and 1 GPW) and 2 transmissions, if you prefer not to take all the engines it’s not a problem. The engine is 171 digits different than the nameplates (frame and tub), for example 106001 vs. 106172= 171 digit difference. The tub (106xxx built December 2x 1941) and frame tags match, the engine has been sent to the machine shop and inspected to ensure it is rebuildable, to be clear, it is rebuildable. It has a clean title and I will do whatever I can to help facilitate shipping.Hopefully the photos show the split back seats frames, tow bar, capstan winch and all the other unique Slat grill features.Solid wheels (5), scalloped axles etc. None of the photos were taken in any way to hide anything, if you want a photo of something just say the word and I will send it.The serial number is 106xxx, built on 12-2x-1941, the balance of the numbers will be known to me and the buyer. If you’d like to fly out and take a look, and I encourage you to do so, I am in the Seattle, WA area.

I reserve the right to end the auction early.1000.00 due at the end of the auction, full payment within 7 days. If you pay via Paypal you will need to add my fee to your total. I would really appreciate it if you send me photo of the parts still in cosmolene (fender blackout light and I believe something else but I have not been able to locate it) after you open them and a ride if you’ll have it in Normandy in 2019.
