1961 Willys Wagon

Awesome 1961 Jeep Willys Rat RodOne of a kind custom built wagon. A true rat rod with alot of custom comforts not seen on most rats. This Rat features a 1961 Jeep Willys body that has been chopped 5". This was all taken off the middle of the cab. It has a heavy steel welded floor pan and firewall. The grill is from the 61 jeep, custom made. The dash is all custom made. All of this sets on an S-10 frame, Air ride bags on all four wheel, Air tank and compressor, The body of this car has a great look and will seat on the Ground!, A rebuilt Chevy 350 (mildly built) with aauto transmission provide the power to the rear end. Exhaust is also new. The front end has been completely rebuilt along with all new disc brakes front and drum in the rear.Unlike most rats, this one has power steering, power brakes, tilt wheel, aluminum bomber style seats in the front with a army ammo box for a center console, The back glass is on hatch back door, Trans cooler, turn signals and brake light, full gages (Speedo, gas, volts, temperature, oil pressure and tach). The windshield is brand new. The back glass is original. There is a crack in one of the passenger side glass, in true rat rod style. This Rat has a new sound system with 1000 watt amp with four speakers in the doors an two 12” speakers in the back, (This system sounds great),This is one fun eye catching Jeep Wagon that everyone loves. It is very reliable and a blast to drive. Buy it and drive it, she's all done unless you want to add your own personal touches to it. You can call me if you have any additional questions at (225)–439-1223.

This is a Rat Rod. It is not perfect, but built to be just that, less than perfect. If you are not a Ratter, you should look at one closely to see how it is done. I would say my wagon is MUCHnicer than most rats, but it is still a true rat. With extras (power steering and brakes with disc front, tilt wheel, etc).

There is no rust on this wagon. It is very solid. The paint is flat brown patina. The frame is solid as can be.

The front and rear tires are in very good shape, the white walls are a skirt type wall that you can put on any tire. They are not perfect but look OK, especially for a rat rod.

The motor is a mild 350. Basically stock with headers. The carb is a Holly. There are no oil leaks of any type.

There are no windshield wipers; I never intended to drive it in the rain !

An electric fan is also in place by the radiator to help keep things cool. Just another extra that most rats don't have.

The car has always been stored indoors !
