286,000 mi on car, 100,000 on engine and 3 year old transmission
Car is being sold as a project car AS IS
I bought this car about 3 years ago with plans on making it an up-North canoe hauler / fishing machine
Since then, I've only used it as a grocery getter
This car is from Florida and has that marked on the Wisconsin Title
When I bought this car from the owners son, he had thousands in receipts from over the years he owned it. He was a real Volvo fan and loved this car. He actually bought it while on vacation in Florida
There are spots of surface rust, but no holes. The underside is clean, but the exhaust makes a little noise
There is an oil leak from the front cam seal that needs attention
The car runs, shifts and drives fine, but the passenger rear brake is worn. I have the rear brake system parts, but I just don't want to mess around w/ it right now. I'd just like to sell this car as a project
The paint job is faded here and there. I didn't mean to take the pics in the rain, it's just that I need to sell this car asap
I just put in a new heater blower motor for this Winter
The back door handles won't open the doors right now, but the front doors and back hatch work fine. Maybe it's the cold weather, I never really used the back doors, I have the seat folded down all the time. I do know the back doors work fine otherwise.
I also have $800.00 or so in new parts that go with the car from IPD including full exhaust w/ cat and all hangers and hardware
I believe 1988 was the first year Volvo galvanized the body on these cars and they don't rust-out like the older 240's. It's a solid car.
If you'd like to fix that back brake at the house, just bring some tools, I have the parts.
Or, just drive it the way it is. It's not that bad, just a little noisy when you stop.
