1991 Volvo 240

For sale is my non-running 1991 Volvo 244 sedan. This was a family vehicle which later turned into my first car and eventually a project car that I never fully completed.

The original and warn out B230Fengine with over 250,000 miles was replaced with a younger B230FT from a 940 which came with oil squirters. The cylinder head was fully rebuilt including a hot tank cleaning of the head and valves, valve lapping, new valve springs, retainers, seals, and the installation of a new IPD Turbo Cam with new shims. Every seal on the head and block was replaced during reassembly.

The underside of the car was sprayed clean oil and grit which which revealed no rust. Once clean it was treated with POR-15 to improve protection. Additionally every suspension component bushing was swapped with a stiffer polyurethane alternative. The stocks and springs on all 4 corners were swapped with Bilstine HDs and standard rate lowering springs. The automatic transmission was also replaced with a Borg Warner Tremec T5 from a mustang 5.0.
