1970 Volvo 1800 P1800 E

We have for sale a beautiful 1970 Volvo P1800 E. 1970 was the first year for CIS fuel injection and four wheel disc brakes on the P1800. This car also has the four speed manual transmission with working overdrive. This is a very original car that spent it's life in San Francisco until 2013 when it was brought to the Northwest. The car comes with all California registrations from 1989 -2013. It has been painted once in the original color. It is an older paint job with a few minor chips. The body is very straight and the undercarriage, floor pans and trunk pans are 100% rust free. There is one very small rust hole on the very bottom of the drivers rear quarter panel behind the wheel as pictured. The seat upholstery, door panels and headliner are original. We have just replaced the interior carpets as the original were very faded. The original dash pad is cracked and now has a reproduction dash cap over it. The wheels and tires are new. Everything is working on the car except the clock and oil temperature gauge. The speedometer needle does bounce around a bit. The car drives, shifts and stops beautifully and it is very fun to drive. It has recent brakes, brake lines and oil change. The motor looks like it has likely been rebuilt at sometime but I have no receipts for this.The car has a working Panasonic AM/FM stereo cassette player. When installing the new carpets we replaced the original plywood rear shelf as it had been cut for speakers, the original speakers in the rear panels will need to be hooked up. The car has the original jack, tire tools, trunk rubber mat and original spare tire cover. It also comes with the original console box lid however the lid is broken at the end and part of the latch mechanism is missing from the lock.
