1966 Volvo P1800, 1800S

This 1966 Volvo 1800S was bought new in Idaho, it still has it's original Idaho plates - yes, the registration was current through April 2017. Repainted in 1985 with original code 89 blue, this 1800S still looks great and drives wonderfully, overdrive shifts smoothly in and out and the engine has strong compression all around at 160.
The paint is shiny and reflective, yet has some rock chips, small scratches and some small checking between the fins and trunk, very small and hard to notice. The paint is holding up well but to win any shows a new paint job is needed. Overall this car presents well.
All chrome is original and clean, only a few small dings here and there on the door trim. The glass is all original Volvo glass and doesn't leak at all. There is a small crack on the lower right front windshield. The tires are fairly new and have about 90% tread left, the hub caps do have a few dings. All windows roll up and down and the wing windows push out smoothly. The trunk and hood still move smooth and work properly
The interior is clean and presents well. The seats are good and all seams are tight. The top dash has been patched above the speedometer, the lower dash is perfect. It does have some wear and tear but nothing needs immediate attention. The clock doesn't work, the speedometer recently got stuck on 40mph, it does comes with an extra. It even has it's original 1966 floor mat.
The engine has strong compression all around at 160 per cylinder. It has OEM Volvo air filters. The engine doesn't leak and still pushes very strong. It does have an aftermarket alternator but the stock generator does come with the car. The orange amp light is on, yet the alternator is charging fine. The trunk has the original spare, tire jack and lots of paperwork. Underneath the trunk lid does has surface rust, to make this a show car some attention is needed there.
The floors are 100% solid on this 1800, one short crossmember does need attention, a new one will be in the trunk upon the sale. The car brakes smoothly with no pulling to any side.
Overall - this is an incredible Volvo 1800 ready to drive and enjoy out of the box, or you could spend some money on a new paint job and win a few local car shows.
