1963 Volvo 544 model. As a long time Volvo fan I have had a few of these 544's. Just great driving little cars. This one has some updates that are very desirable. Added a B-20 engine and 4 speed overdrive transmission. And yes the overdrive works well. This transplant is not simple, but this one was done professionally and done right. The B-20 gives it more power and the overdrive allows you to drive at highway speeds without straining the motor. It runs coo, quiet and no leaks or smoke. The car has NO rust and never has. Inside the trunk is nice sturdy metal. None of the usual rust in the spare tire well or in the very back, ever! Always a central Calif. car. The interior has received seats out of a 1979 Volvo 240GT. They are much more comfortable than the original and give much better support. Installed professionally and work well. (lumbar, forward/back, adjustable)The car is very presentable, but not restored. I have another 544 that I drive regularly, but happened on this one sitting in a shed locally. The owner had stopped me and said, "want another car like that?". I just couldn't resist as I always wanted to put an overdrive in mine. But found it very difficult and expensive. So I put higher gears in my rear of mine and have enjoyed. Well now I have 2 544's!! So I'm going to let this red one go to someone that can enjoy it. It had been off the road for several years so I cleaned tank, tuned and it started right up and runs excallent. I added brand new tires with 3" port-o-walls and had it painted. I didn't have to do any body work!! It is presently registered and licensed. I have a clear title. The car is being sold As-Is as due to age I can't warrantee. However It does run excellent, shifts fine, including the overdrive. The brakes work well and lights and guages work. It has an aftermarket oil pressure guage mounted under dash and shows excellent oil pressure. Any questions? Call (805) 460-7188 or just ask question feature on ad. I had several people point out that I hadn't included pictures of the engine. So I added 2. It has the single Weber Carb and Cannon intake. It works very well as far as tuning and staying tuned as opposed to the original dual SU carbs. If any other pictures would help, please let me know.

In responding to questions and request I took some more pictures today. I added a picture of the I.D. plate and pictures in the trunk today. One viewer thought the dark spots on the 52 year old trunk mat was water. It actually is oil stains. I'm sure it could be scrubbed and armeralled. But we'll leave that to the new owner. As you can see there is discoloation in the trunk but no serious rust. Rather the rusty color is only surface type. Metal is solid.
