1957 Volvo 444

I bought this car from a Volvo collector and it has been stored for 4 or 5 years and I just got it running really good. The motor runs great and the transmission and clutch work smooth as well. ThisMOTOR IS AUPGRADED 544 motor instead of the 444 motor for more horsepower and performanceand my guess is it is probably a rebuilt motor as clean as the oil is and you can tell the motor was paintedbefore installed.I found out some more info on this car, it was a B16 1600cc 3 main bearing motor and now they done a nice upgrade to a B18 1800cc 5 main bearing motor which is much better and a 12 volt system upgrade as well. I cleaned theweber carburetor, changed plugs, ran a new fuel line with a electric fuel pump and put a jug of gas in the trunk so it would be clean and put a new battery in it. The mechanical fuel pump still works if you would reather use it also. The brakes are working but to be safe I would go thru them. He put new tires on it 5 years ago and they have hardly any miles but a little dry rotted so I would change them if you are going to be driving it on the highway. The speedometer only shows 108k which is low mileage. The interio is decent other then the drivers bottom seat. The floor boards need replaced in the front but the previous owner already cut out nice patches to cover them up and the trunk has a few spots if you wanted to patch them to. The body is really straight and solid other then the usual lower rockers which are the strips under the door on the lower car body but supposedly this is common on these models and the lower trunk has a few bubbles. These are easy to fix before paint. The spots that look like bad rust are actually just the paint flaked off the metal in those spots and surface rust is showing if you sand them and prime then they will be fine. All the glass in this car is very nice. All the parts and extra stuff that was in the trunk I laid out on the floor so you could see what all is there and there is some 544 emblems and 444 and B18,Sport and Volvo as well. I have a CLEAR TEXAS TITLE for this 57 Volvo and overall I think its a cool car because it looks almost like a 40's and 50's American coupe that is shrunk down a bit. I thought this would be a awesome chevy LS V8 project with overdrive and vintage ac and would be a daily driver that got very good fuel mileage and extremely fast and fun to drive plus really unique and rare or just paint it and cruise it like it is. I don't really email or text much feel free to call me if you have any questions 512-760-566five Thanks Justin Located in Rockdale TX 76567 PLEASEIF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY OR DO NOT PLAN ON FOLLOWING THRU WITH BUYING THIS CAR AND PAYING FOR IT LIKE A GROWN RESPECTFUL PERSON SHOULD WITHIN 7 DAYSPLEASE DO NOT BID ON IT.
